The Johannes Kepler University Linz (hereinafter referred to as the “JKU”) informs you herewith about processing your personal information (more precisely: personal information relating to you) in the context of Art. 4 (1) as outlined in the General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter referred to as “GDPR”) which is protected by applicable data protection law.1 As defined in Art. 4 (2) of GDPR, processing in particular means collecting, recording, and storing personal information by using – or not using – an automated (technical) procedure.

This data protection declaration applies to the Research Group Social Partnership website which can be accessed under the domain https://www.socialpartnerresearch.eu/ (hereinafter referred to as “website”).

The data processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest). The legitimate interest is justified by the fact that the processing of the described data is essential for the presentation, stability, and security of the website.
Without providing the above-mentioned data, it may not be possible to access the website.
B. Members of the Social Partnership Research Group
For the purpose of introducing the members of the Social Partnership Working Group, the website provides information on their professional orientation, specializations and publications as well as their official contact details (first and last name, email address, university/institutional affiliation) for the purpose of establishing contact.
The legal basis for the publication of the above-mentioned personal information is legitimate interest in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.
The legal basis to publish Social Partnership Working Group Members photos on the website is (implicit) consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. Consent that has already been given can be revoked at any time. The legalities of data processing operations carried out up to the point consent is revoked remains unaffected after revoking consent.
C. E-Mail Contact
In the event that you contact us via the provided e-mail addresses of members on the website, the personal data transmitted with your e-mail will be processed.
Your information will not be passed on to third parties. The information will be used exclusively to process your inquiry or request.
The legal basis for the processing of your personal data transmitted when contacting us by e-mail is our legitimate interest according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.
The personal data processed during the course of e-mail communication will be deleted after final clarification of facts. Mandatory legal provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.
IV. Cookies
